Disney On Ice: Dare to Dream

One of my frequent memories as a child growing up was heading down to Joe Louis Arena each year for the Disney on Ice presentations.  I love that now I am getting to make new memories with my own kids at Disney on Ice!

Jonathan made it home to take the kids to the Disney on Ice show.  Justin didn't hold interest in it for nearly as long, but Katelynn was glued to it the entire show!  They had Rapunzel so of course she was hooked!  This was an early birthday present for her!

Ada and Katelynn (K's friend Lauren was there too but Katelynn is blocking her in this picture)
On the edge of her seat (literally!)
Ryan was even entertained for a bit!
 Just a little restless....

And now for a funny story that HAS to be recorded in the memory books.....

So, Justin has an obsession with shoes.  I'm not kidding.  The kid fights me about what shoes he is going to wear like Katelynn has given me trouble on clothing for the last year.  His favorite shoes are his dressy black shoes and of course there are rare occassions when they are neccessary.  So, fast-forward to tonight.  We're trying to get out the door as usual and Justin is insisting he wear his dressy shoes.  We are trying to explain that he is going to a show and will have to walk a lot and he should probably wear his tennis shoes.  He keeps trying to compromise; we keep going back to the fact that he really should wear different shoes.  Jonathan and I both THOUGHT he agreed.  He started changing his shoes and we went on to getting the other two kids ready and out the door.  No one went back and double checked Justin's shoes.  We get to our destination and this is what I find when pulling Justin out of the car........

ONE TENNIS SHOE.  ONE DRESS SHOE.  No other choices but to let him wear two different shoes the entire night.  (And let me add that we walked uptown Charlotte to dinner, then walked to the show so there were plenty of people that got to see our child in two different shoes).  Lets just say it's never a dull day around our kids!!
