Katelynn was pretty excited this year to see what the Easter bunny had left her. She typically has a few hundred excuses at nighttime as to why she can't go to bed, but as that night when I told her that the Easter Bunny would hop passed our house if she wasn't asleep, she went straight to sleep and didn't say a peep about being scared or needing water like we typically hear.
Here are the kids waiting for us to let them run down the stairs to check out the living room.
The Easter bunny used a bit of humor when he hid the eggs. One egg had a baby bottle nipple on it from Katelynn's baby bottles, another was in Katelynn's cooking spatula, and a third was in a cooking pot in the play kitchen.
Justin was interested in finding eggs for about two minutes max. He made us all think he was getting really into it, but it didn't last long.
That silly Easter bunny thought he could leave candy in Katelynn's Easter basket and give Justin only a few suckers and the rest just toys and knick-knacks, but Justin showed him. He knew which Easter basket had the candy loot and was way more interested in exploring it than his own!
... And now for the best part of Easter morning- Mommy and Daddy actually letting them eat candy before breakfast! She sure can give a smile even with candy in her mouth :)
