I love going to the zoo, and we had not been in almost a year now. I bought a season pass for our family that includes admission to a ton of zoos and science centers in the U.S. so we headed out for our first visit to the zoo. Jonathan was working (and isn't a big fan of the zoo anyway) so Grandma Miller joined us since she was on Spring Break.
Last year Justin was only months old, but this year he was very interested in watching all the animals!
We rarely use the Sit-and-Stand stroller, but I brought it along thinking it would be helpful. This is the way Justin wanted to ride on the stroller while snacking.
This was our first visit to this zoo (It's the Riverbank Zoo in Columbia, SC.) and they had a farm area unlike our zoo in NC. Katelynn really wanted to feed the animals, but they weren't very interested after probably having eaten a ton from all the visitors today. At least she got to practice milking a cow! :)
Katelynn is very into trains and was so excited they had one to ride. Justin wasn't a fan once he realized mommy wasn't going to be joining him in it. He's very attached to being right by my side these days!
Here are our best shots of pictures I attempted to take of the kids next to the animal statues. It is near impossible to get both of them to smile and look at the same time!
I finally got a good shot after four different statues and 30-some tries!
