Wedding Reception

Somehow Katelynn came across our wedding DVD in our pile of movies this weekend and wanted to watch it.  She and Justin and got quite the kick out of watching their Uncle Matt getting down to the music at our reception and found themselves attempting to copy his moves.  It was quite comical if I do say so myself!

County Fair

We headed out to the Cabarrus County Fair today for some fun rides!  Ryan even had a friend there to "hang" out with as his birthday buddy Lavery and her family were there too!  We had a great time and stayed out entirely too late having fun.  Justin quite literally was falling asleep and still insisting he was going to keep riding rides near the end.  I was impressed with the amount of kiddie rides that they had, and my two didn't seem to have much fear about getting on and riding any of them!  This completely brought back my childhood memories.  I remember going to fairs like this every summer!

This particular fair had an entire "petting" farm, however, I'm not sure why it was called a petting farm as there was a sign next to every animal saying that you couldn't touch them or they may bite.  They did have cow milking though!  This was quite the first experience for me on this one, but my brave little girl was all about giving it a try.  Justin thought he wanted to try, but he didn't like the looks of the activity once he got closer so he just watched from a distance.

Remember that Birth Announcement?

Yeah, so I had the best of intentions of mailing everyone Ryan's birth announcment, but I give up.  I still have thank you cards that are two months late that I have to get finished so I don't see myself getting his birth announcements addressed and mailed before he is six months old at this rate!  Haha.  So, rather than even bother mailing them at this point, I will just share them with everyone on here.

Aren't they adorable?  I love them.. and good thing I do since I now have 40 copies!  :)

Pre-K here we come

I know that I am probably one of the only parents saying this but summer went WAAAYYY to fast and I am sad that school is back.  I love having all three kids at home with me!  Miss Katelynn, however, was thrilled that school is starting.  She could not have been happier to finally have the day come!  We need to work on getting back in the routine of getting out the door early, but we made it today without being late!  This is Katelynn's last year of preschool as kindergarten awaits her next year!  And while she was acting all shy about going in this picture, she sure was ready when we got there!

Love the smiles!

I am loving these adorable smiles we are seeing more and more of from our little guy.  He sure does know how to make a hectic day a whole lot brighter!

Back to Boating!

One thing we missed while being away from home was boating!  We got home late Wednesday night and by Thursday evening I was starting my scrapbooking weekend.  So Sunday was the first chance we got to hit the lake, and we took full opportunity of it!  Ryan dipped into the water again this time and enjoyed floating on the rafts!  The big kids were so busy with grandparents (Grandma Carney and both G&G Miller came with us!) that I didn't get many pictures of them today!

This is the only picture I got of J &K... exhausted after a fun day in the sun!

Splashes of Fun!

Every year since I have been a mom, I have had one weekend a year that is my weekend.  I head down to Charlotte and scrap the day away at the Creating Keepsakes Convention.  It's the perfect "me" time for me doing something I love.  This year, however, was going to be tricky because I have a very new baby that nurses A LOT.  I wasn't sure how I was going to swing it.  Of course my mom came to my rescue though.  Normally I do two full days at the convention, but I opted for doing one class Friday and then did a full day Saturday (my mom came with me Saturday and spent all day watching Ryan and bringing him to me in between my classes to nurse.  Thanks again, Mom.  You ROCK!)

Anyway, long story just to explain that on Friday I took a class and then my mom took one right after lunch.  The kids and I spent the time down in Charlotte playing at a splash park across the street from the convention.  My kids truly are turning into huge water fans.  At the beginning of the summer, I couldn't get them to even get wet at the splash park we tried going to, but today they were all for it!  It made the hour Grandma was in class go by super quick!  (These were just taken with my phone so hopefully you can see them well enough!)

Ryan and I just enjoyed watching the big kids run around and have a blast!
