Yes, that's right. They are going to be big sister (again) and a big brother in July!! Katelynn very much understands about the pregnancy this time around. She is super excited and knows that when fireworks are here, our baby should be here! She is very cautious with my belly. Just today we were playing on the swingset and she said, "Be careful not to hurt the baby, Mommy!"
Justin LOVES babies, but he doesn't really understand that we are going to have one just yet. I think when we talk about it, he assumes we are talking about baby dolls.
We are so excited to share our first ultrasound picture of our little peanut at 8 weeks gestation (taken last week). We will be finding out if it's a boy or girl in February and can barely stand the wait! Katelynn wants a sister (of course since she already has a brother), but she understands she gets what she gets!
This will be our last baby so I plan to savor every single minute of this pregnancy. So far that's been a little tough. I have been super fortanate to have easy pregnancies with both Katelynn and Justin, and while I still can't really complain, I have been nauseated this time around. Thankfully, this week (at almost 9 weeks), it has started to subside some. My first OB appointment (we had the ultrasound but they had to postpone my appointment due to scheduling issues with my OB) will be on Monday so I'll keep you posted but so far the baby was measuring right on track and looked so perfect at our ultrasound appointment! We got to see his/her heart beating and it was the best thing ever!
