Outdoor Play

The weather this week has been pretty crazy. Over the weekend, we enjoyed 70-80 degree weather. Katelynn spent a lot of the weekend outdoors. I just started a photography class, and one of my assignments is to get an action picture so here is Katelynn jumping. I didn't realize how little she gets off the ground when she jumps until now. He,he.We bought a swingset (used that we are adding onto to make it pretty neat), but it wasn't up for long on Sunday for her to play with so she went back out today to play and it had dropped to around 50-some degrees. Here she is hanging like a monkey!All of you northerners are going to laugh at me when you see this, but I put Justin in his snowsuit to go out in the cold 50-degree weather for Katelynn to play. Ha,ha.

An Afternoon Nap

More 70 degree weather today kept us outside all day long. Katelynn can't seem to get enough of riding her bike these days, and Justin really enjoyed watching her and everything else outside, so much so that he crashed on the blanket we were playing on!

We are very lucky that Katelynn really doesn't show much jealousy towards her brother. Instead she wants to hold him and play with him. He's not really quite as thrilled about "playing" with her just yet, but one day he's going to wish she were still as willing to play with him as she is now!

A Happy Boy!

Here's my happy baby boy after seeing the Easter bunny!

This is Justin's newest thing- he sucks on his hand. Mommy isn't the biggest fan of this as I think it's a matter of time before he finds his thumb, and I'm not the biggest thumb-sucker fan. I won't be able to take that away like I can the pacifer!

A Visit to the Easter Bunny!

Last year wasn't a great Easter Bunny experience, but Katelynn really gets it this year and was more than willing to go talk to the Easter bunny! She was sad when we left and was asking when the bunny was going to bring her some eggs.

Katelynn's Wheels

Katelynn can officially pedal her bike all by herself!! She has been able to pedal a few times here and there with a push, but she is now getting herself started and pedaling all over the driveway. As she told her daddy yesterday, "Riding my bike is soo fun!" She has been riding in the driveway with the "big kids". Our neighbors, ages 6 and 8, have been playing with Katelynn all weekend, and she thinks she's quite the big girl riding bikes with the big kids!

Another month goes by

Justin is officially two months old! He had his check-up yesterday and weighed 11 pounds, 7 ounces and was 23.25 inches long. He has been doing so much better now that he is on reflux medications and is a happy boy! Justin has been cooing a lot lately, smiling more, and been very interested in his surroundings. He is also staying awake a lot more. Here are comparison pictures from today and one month ago!
