Today we had our big 3D ultrasound that we have with each one of our babies around the third trimester. While all my kids have had a mind of their own (even in the womb), this little guy might be proving to be the most stubborn. I have NEVER had to return for an ultrasound because of an uncooperative child... at least until today. He wanted no part of participating so we could get some really great shots. So much so that our tech asked if we would come back because she wasn't happy with what we got. So, I'll be heading back there on Wednesday in hopes of some super cute pictures!
Here's what we were able to get today. They are poor quality because I scanned them in (I will get a CD of our pics on Wednesday) and Justin crinkled them in a ball on the way home.
It might be hard to tell, but in this picture, he has his legs up over his head. We actually witnessed him kick himself in the head during the ultrasound. Silly Boy!
During the ultrasound, I learned that he is transverse. He can still turn of course, but this is my first baby that has not been primarily head down by now. Both K and J were head down by my 2nd and 3rd trimester ultrasounds and this little guy seems to like to be head up/feet down instead... or today transverse. It makes me slightly nervous that he may stay that way and not turn, but we'll see how it goes. It may explain why I have so much more pressure and issues this time around though- he's kicking the heck out of me in some pretty delicate places. LOL.
P.S. I'm not great at figuring out who my kids look like, but based on these pictures and comparing them to Katelynn and Justin's 3D, he looks EXACTLY like his big brother! I will post some comparisions after I see if I get better shots on Wednesday!

2011 Easter Bunny Visit
We have talked a lot about visiting the Easter Bunny and sitting on his lap in preparation for this visit. Of course there was a child screaming on his lap when we walked up, which made Justin a bit more apprehensive than he was before, but I was still proud of my kids. While they were both shy, neither one was too scared and we were able to get a decent shot of them with the bunny this year!

Family Bowling
It has rained the end of our Spring Break week, but we still wanted to have some fun family activity time so we headed out bowling. It's been about a year since we went last time and what a huge difference it has made! Both kids were at a fun age to bowl, and Justin really got the idea this time!
And for the record: the girls kicked the boys butts! :)

Family Of Four Boating Day!
It's pretty rare that we take the boat out with just the four of us, but Jonathan and Katelynn both had the week off this week for Spring Break and we are taking full advantage of spending some time together as a family. It won't be long before our family of four will grow to five!
It was great 80-degree weather, but it was a bit windy on the lake today! We still made the best of it and had fun.. just avoided the water when we could because it was super cold!
We put the back seats of the boat up top to from a "bed" and the kids had a blast cruising at a low speed on the "bed".
Because of the wind, we got to see a bunch of sailboats out on the water, and the kids thought that was pretty cool!
Here's the only shot we could manage to squeeze all four of us in since we didn't have anyone to take our picture:
Now.. if only we could win the lotto, we could spend every weekday out on the boat and enjoying time together! It has been so nice to do things with Daddy all week and not have him working!

GoodBye Beach!
We spent Sunday afternoon back out on the beach before heading back home to Charlotte. It was beautiful outside; the perfect day for the beach.
Katelynn found a starfish all by herself that washed up on the beach!
Poor Attempt at a Photo Shoot
I had this grand idea that while I was at the beach, I was going to get some great shots of my kids on the beach to replace the current 8x10 I have in my house from when Justin was literally only 6 months old. I didn't get a chance to take the shots until the last day, and it was probably a really bad idea. While it's already difficult to get a great picture of the two of them, it's even more difficult on the last day of a vacation that has consisted of late bedtimes and no naps. Even if I would have been able to get a good shot, it was the wrong time of day to get a great picture with the sun shining and giving me shadows. So, needless to say, after lots of tears and struggles, I walked away without that perfect 8x10 picture. Better luck next time!

More Pool Time!
We spent more time at the pool after having fun at our friend's house on Saturday. Both the kids had a blast swimming around with their new life preservers!
My brave girl going underwater!
Monkey See, Monkey Do, right? Justin was more than willing after seeing his sister give it a try!
