After the birthday party yesterday, today was our last day to spend with my parents. We decided to head to the famous corn maze in Huntersville. This was my first time doing a corn maze, and I thought it was a blast. After two potty breaks and a whole lot of confusion, it took us 2 hours, 3 minutes to find all the puzzle pieces and get out of the maze.

Calling all Pirates and Princesses- It's PARTY Time!
What a great day for a birthday party! I always worry about the weather this time of year hosting a party at our house. I prefer to do it outdoors just because we have a ton of kids and it makes life a heck of a lot easier. This year has been especially warm late in the year, and it made for a perfect day outside!
Katelynn's friends all came dressed as either pirates or princesses. They had a scavenger hunt to find their goodie bag items, played on the swingset, and bounced on the bounce house. I'm pretty sure everyone had a blast!

We had 17 kids total at her party. Here's a bunch of them!

My BABY Girl is FOUR!!
I know you hear me say this day after day, but really, how is my baby girl FOUR YEARS OLD already? I remember being pregnant with her like it was yesterday and yet here we are with another year behind us. I love each new phase she enters, but I also miss the old days too. I guess that's a normal part of watching your children grow up!
Today Katelynn attended school and was able to bring in ice cream cone cupcakes to share with her classmates. I made her a princess shirt to wear with her special princess crown for her special day!

After school we let her open her gifts from us!
We let Katelynn pick the restaurant of her choice for her birthday. Of course, she picked Chuck-E-Cheese! I used left-over batter from the cupcakes for school to make her a mini-cake to eat on her actual birthday. She will get plenty of cake at her party on Saturday!
This was the end of our night at Chuck-E-Cheese. Can you tell it's bedtime? :)
I'm pretty sure our birthday princess had the perfect birthday! She is in for even more fun this weekend as we will be hosting a princess and pirate party with her friends at our house!

Pumpkin Patch 2010
I always take the kids to the pumpkin patch each year anyway, but this year we went with Katelynn's preschool as a field trip. Thankfully her preschool is very accepting of allowing the siblings to attend all field trips, and there are a bunch of boys around Justin's age that are siblings so it works out well. The kids had a blast!
Class Picture (missing 2 kids) with both teachers
Another Class picture with scarecrow (again.. two kids were missing that day)
Hay Ride with friends (from left to right: Sophia, Jadyn, Katelynn, Alexis, Schyler)
Time to hunt for pumpkins! Justin was wanting as many as he could carry!
Corn Pit- Katelynn loved it. Justin thought it felt funny on his feet and wanted out asap
He LOVED the tractor bikes though. Justin is obsessed with just about anything with wheels these days! All he wants to do is RIDE, RIDE, RIDE!
Horse Tire Swings- I love these!

Choo-Choo!! Thomas the Train Coming Through!!
This year was the first year we could attend the Thomas the Train event and have both kids actually have a good time. We had friends come visit from South Carolina and we all went out for a "Day Out with Thomas". We had a great time!
The kids riding on the train being pulled by Thomas!
Mommy, Katelynn, and Justin in front of a fire truck. The kids were able to go inside and look around in the truck and thought that was pretty cool!
Taking a stroll next to the tracks!
Choo-Choo! There's Thomas!! We were able to stand on a bridge that he went under!

Sibling Love
I love these two kids! They are not always sweet and loving towards one another, but it just melts my heart away when they are! <3
